Clare grew up on a sheep and beef farm in the Wairarapa, developing a strong connection to agriculture from an early age. She has spent seven years working in agricultural finance in the South Island, gaining valuable insight into the financial drivers and challenges facing farming businesses. For the past 14 years, Clare and her husband have run an intensive dry-stock farming operation, farming firstly in South Canterbury and now residing in Central Otago. This hands-on experience is complemented by her strong grounding in financial analysis and rural banking.

With a background that spans both banking and farming, Clare brings a unique and practical perspective to the work she does with rural businesses. She understands the pressures farmers are under and what it takes to achieve the best possible outcomes.
